Kim Squalia: Chromautonomy

November 7 through December 22, 2012

Kim Squaglia has become very popular among the hip architecture and design community of Sacramento and beyond (Neiman Marcus has commissioned her work throughout the Western states) with her glossy resin and oil on wood paintings. These works are more than decorative in their obsessive and often repetitive patterns creating fantasy space to get lost in with floating nets, overlapping petals and string like painted patterns. Squaglia received her BA from Chico State, and her MFA from University of Texas, San Antonio. The Crocker Museum, Progressive Art Collection, Focus Abengoa, Sevilla, Spain, US State Department, and Capital One Bank all collect this exciting artist.
