Penny Olson: Flowers and Water

Penny Olson is making some amazing photographs of her own Vallejo garden and Northern California waterways, but the images do not resemble the subjects, other than the tone and color. These are abstractions created digitally and are primarily presented laminated between acrylic, which magnifies the image giving dimension to the photograph. All in square format, these very contemporary objects have the nuance of great painting, and the graphic quality of a photo. This is Olson’s first exhibit at JAYJAY.
